The LXM Narrow-Linewidth DFB Laser Module is based on indie’s proprietary laser diode technology. This single-frequency laser is available in both standard and ultra-narrow models, achieving linewidths as low as <0.1 kHz. Its ultra-low phase noise and fast frequency modulation properties make this laser stand out and set new standards in narrow linewidth lasers.
The LXM integrates a DFB laser diode, a low-noise current source, and a high-stability temperature controller in a single, compact package. The ultra-narrow LXM-U also includes a frequency noise cancellation feedback system that delivers unmatched performance without compromising lasing mode stability. This semiconductor laser module is designed for seamless integration, high robustness, and reliability, making it an ideal choice for system integrators.
Indie has developed a unique monolithic semiconductor DFB laser with two major improvements: an intrinsic linewidth below 20 kHz and a flat frequency modulation response up to > 100 MHz modulation frequency. This innovation addresses the need for a small-size, cost-effective laser technology that meets demanding system requirements, reduces complexity, and improves stability and performance. The proprietary DFB laser diode is integrated into the LXM turn-key laser module product, which exhibits a 0.1 kHz linewidth in the ultra-narrow configuration (LXM-U).
