These Acousto Optic Modulator (AOM) are designed to offer an optimal solution for amplitude modulation of laser light between 380 and 1700 nm. An Acousto Optic Modulator (AOM Modulator) requires an RF driver. AeroDIODE offers a range of RF drivers configured for either digital input (TTL) or analog input configurations. Our selection of RF drivers is shown in the product section below. Additionally, the AeroDIODE TOMBAK synchronisation tool is offered for complex synchronisation applications such as pulse-picking a mode locked laser.
AeroDIODE Acousto Optic Modulators are used in laser Q-switching and pulse picking applications, narrow line width laser measurements and many other applications related to precision operating in the nanosecond range.
Acousto Optic Modulators are also used as a fixed frequency shifter. They have the ability to slightly shift the central optical wavelength by a fixed value equal to the RF frequency (±80, ±100 or ±200 MHz) depending on the RF frequency applied to the modulator.
These AO modulators are designed and optimized to modulate the intensity of light down to the nanosecond timing range.

AeroDIODE fiber coupled AOM's (Acoustic Optic Modulators) are commonly utilized in various applications, including fiber laser Q-switching, pulse picking, narrow line width laser measurements, and precision fiber-coupled systems operating in the nanosecond range.
These fiber AOM's can also serve as fixed frequency shifters. They possess the capability to slightly shift the central optical wavelength either positively or negatively by a fixed value equivalent to the RF frequency (±80, ±100, or ±200 MHz), depending on the RF frequency applied to the modulator.
