Introduction

The 3SAE Thermal Stripper Extended Rail models are optical fiber stripping units designed to remove coatings from optical fibers. These models are easy to use and provide additional travel to support the removal of extended lengths of fiber coating.

  • This model supports standard 125 μm optical fibers, including 250 μm, 400 μm, and 900 μm coated fibers.
• 3SAE Thermal Stripper, High Strength – Adjustable Extended Rail
  • This model supports optical fibers with cladding diameters from 30 μm to 1000 μm, with buffer diameters up to 1200 μm.

Both Extended Rail Thermal Strippers provide an extended stroke for stripping fibers up to 225mm. They are suitable for various applications, including optical gratings, optical couplers, and fiber optic combiners. The adjustable temperature and time settings allow for the stripping of a variety of different coatings.

3SAE's complete line of preparation tools includes the 3SAE Thermal Stripper, 3SAE Ultrasonic Cleaner, and 3SAE fiber cleavers. These tools are configurable for use with 3SAE, FITEL, and Fujikura fiber holders. The use of fiber holders ensures a repeatable handling process across strip, clean, cleave, and splice equipment, resulting in high strength fusion splicing and improved yield.
